Doll Making Pop-Up Workshop
Artist Nancy Rodriguez will be hosting a doll making pop up workshop for girls from 4th to 8th Grades. We'll talk about the history of doll making, see examples of this fun folk art, and see what doll artists are making now. There are only 10 seats available to this small group. If you think your daughter would be interested, please register today.
What's a pop up? A sudden and unexpected fun event!
Criteria for your daughter:
She’s genuinely interested sewing - thread, needles, stuffing and all (beginner is ok)
She’s positive, hardworking, and loves to make things.

Dates: March 9th, 16th, and 23rd
(23rd may be subject to change if needed due to Stonehaven MS field trips)

Scholarship available? Not at this time but we can work out a flexible solution. If you don't need a scholarship but love our art ministry events, pray about donating toward scholarships for this or any of our workshops and camps.

Watercolor Workshop
Watercolor painting is the process of painting with pigments that are mixed with water. Of all the painting processes, watercolor painting is known for its inherent delicacy and subtlety because watercolor art is all about thin washes and transparent color. This workshop explores the use of Watercolor and is great for beginners.

Abstract Painting Workshop
Abstract art uses a visual language of shape, form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. Join us for a creative experience and learn some basic techniques to create a unique piece of self-expression. This session is for beginners who want to explore and express their creativity freely. Registration fee includes all materials needed. Ideal for families.

Framing Basics
We will help you build a basic modern frame for any square or rectangular picture. From cutting the wood, sanding, glueing, nailing, painting, placing your artwork or picture, and prepping it to be hung when you get home. we will guide you through the whole process. All you need to bring is yourself and your artwork or picture. Oh yeah and invite a friend.

Art Around the World Camp (ages 7-13)
We're very excited about this camp because we will creatively travel around the world! We will explore various artworks from cultures and places we can only dream about. Each camper will have their creative passport to document their travels and creative learning experiences. If you want to give your kiddos a taste for travel and culture, you don't want them to miss this one.

LEGO® City Camp (Ages 7-13)
With step-by-step instructions, we will help your camper build awesome city-themed LEGO sets, learn how to work with others and fulfill their role as a responsible citizen of the city they build. This is the perfect camp for your LEGO loving kiddo. And to top it off, this camp includes a trip to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center!

Martin Luther King Day Camp 2018
Sign up your child(ren) ages 7-13 today for a full day of creativity and fun as we learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his dream for justice, peace, and equality. This is a hands-on creative experience using a variety of art projects and cooperative games. Campers will work on critical thinking, team building skills, and be encouraged to apply these skills to life. The best part? Your students will have FUN! Along with an art show at the end of our workshop. Each child will go home with their very own piece of art. Space is limited so hurry and register today.

After School Art (Stonehaven 5th - 8th grades girls only) with Mrs. Rodriguez
Each week, the girls will have warm-up drawing sessions, and smaller projects from a wide variety, including fiber art, batik, clay, collage, sewing and mix media. All the while, the girls will be selecting an artist and style of choice to study and implement technique on a canvas painting. This piece will be worked on a little each week. I also would like to cultivate an environment of worship with creativity, so we will have short devotionals sprinkled throughout each week.
Age Level: 5th - 8th grades girls
Cost: $150
Season: From November 9 to February 1
Days: Thursdays

Arts & Drafts (21+)

Sculpt-It Camp (age 8-12)

This camp is designed to introduce children age 8 - 12 to the pottery wheel and pinch, slab and coil methods of working with clay as well as acrylic painting. Kids that love texture and sculpting with clay, paper mache, and other materials — will love this camp. Here are some of the things they can expect to do:
- Paper mache mask
- Oven-baked sculpture
- Simple claymation
- Giant collaborative sculpture
