Submission Guidelines and Agreement
I. Submission Process:
1. Eligibility:
Open to portrait artists of all levels and backgrounds.
Submission fee: $20 (non-refundable).
2. Application Materials:
A portfolio featuring a minimum of 10 recent portrait artworks.
Artist statement (up to 500 words) outlining your artistic journey, goals, and expectations for the residency.
Curriculum Vitae (CV) or resume.
Completed submission form.
3. Submission Deadline:
All materials must be submitted by [insert deadline].
4. Juried Selection & Process:
A panel of qualified jurors will evaluate submissions based on artistic merit, originality, and alignment with the residency theme.
5. Notification:
Artists selected for the residency will be notified by [notification date].

II. Residency Details:

The residency is a week-long program.
Dates of residency TBD after winning interview with artist.
2. Facilitated Services:

Accommodations (Private Room).
3. Artist Responsibilities:
Flights to and from the residency location.
Medical expenses.
Art supplies.
Souvenirs or personal expenses.
III. Agreement:
1. Acceptance and Attendance:
Selected artists must confirm acceptance within one week of notification.
Attendance for the entire week is mandatory.
2. Submission Fee:
The $20 submission fee must be paid at the time of application.
3. Cancellation Policy:
The submission fee is non-refundable.
Artists must promptly inform the residency organizers if they are unable to attend.
4. Use of Artworks:
Artists grant the residency organizers permission to use images of their submitted artworks for promotional purposes related to the residency.
5. Code of Conduct:
Artists are expected to conduct themselves professionally, respecting locals, staff, and the residency environment.
6. Feedback and Documentation:
Artists may be asked to provide feedback and contribute to residency documentation, such as a brief testimonial or an artistic reflection.
